Jaký může mít negativní význam nosní mandle?
Nosní mandle může nabývat na svém objemu, pak se hovoří o tzv. hypertrofii. Stává se to především u dětí předškolního a školního věku, které jsou nejvíce vystaveny náporu různých infekcí. Nosní mandle je zachytává, někdy je stačí eliminovat, jindy se sama stává skladištěm infekcí.
Význam nosní mandle je spíš pozitivní, pokud se však příliš zvětší, může mít i nežádoucí vliv.
- Zhoršené dýchání. Zbytnělá nosní mandle ucpe z větší části průchod vzduchu nosem.
- Ztížené vnímání sluchových vjemů. Mandle naléhá a tlačí na Eustachovy trubice, postižený pak hůř slyší.
- Nevýrazná výslovnost. Dotyčný mluví stejně, jako při onemocnění rýmou.
- Chronické infekce nosohltanu, středouší a dýchacích cest. To se stává v případě, že je nosní mandle sama nosičem infekcí.
Každopádně při opakovaných infekcích je vhodné se poradit s lékařem, zda nejde o zbytnělou nosní mandli.
